the issues

Today, in the presentation we talk a lot of the human rights and race. These problem exist in any country. Bill said to us, "You can say in my country we don't have the race problem, which its not true, it exists and it shows in many different way, some are serious some are just not be noticed.  " You didn't see it doesn't mean it do  not exist. For example, i discussed the LGBT problem with the Dutch group, which  is wonderful, same sex is still a big issue in China and U.S.. We don't talk about it in public, its a sensitive problem, even it has  been legalized in America. Its like in the "army ".

the progress

In China, there is an old quotation "The most important is the progress, not the end. " How to be successful ? Hard working, patience, talent, etc. These are all about the progress. You spend your time, patience, and money in the progress, it's not just for having a result. Its what u learn from the progress, did u improve yourself, what do u learn from your mistakes ?For the argument, discussion, and debate, its not for who gonna win, the victory, its about what do we learn from the progress, from our competitors.

the cross-cultural misunderstanding

Cross -cultural misunderstanding do not just exists in different countries, also in the same country. For instance, in Mandarin a word is just a name of food, but in Cantonese it can be a ditty word.

The religion also is one reason. At the first time i heard about the Saudi Arabic man can has 4 wives, "Are you crazy ? Its totally unfair !" As i knew them well, i understand it because their religion and its legal. It can help them solve some family problem. 

global citizen

In this session our classes are about global citizen. What is global citizen, and how to become one. At the beginning, a lot of students didn't know what is it, but you know global and citizen, combine them. I think the global citizen is a person who communicate with the world, he read "news ", catch up with all the changing. He can understand what's happening, and he care about the world. He want to do something good to the world, make it better. It's not just about you, your family, or people you care about. It's about countries, environment and development. We talked about our favorite habits in class, it's global or national ? At the end we found out, almost everything is global. Everything is connected with the world. For example, the Chinese production, they are everywhere. Almost you can find them in every country. They are international and global.

Summary

There is so much to do of global ethic. We've got to have a healthy sense of patriotism. We need to think of the long-term national interests. The power to communivcate across borders allows us to organize the world in a different way. We've to rebuild the world institutions. All the different countries with the different voting shares in these institutions to do so. It's very important to recognize that this reform of institutions is the next stage.

organization

I'm a perfectionist, so I need everything in the order. I have to. If I come back home and someone moves my stuff, I can find out. Everything in my place is in its own order. If you move it I will definitely know. For example, when I moved in the place I live now, one day after school, I was using the toilet, the I found out the toilet paper wasn't in the place it used to be. So I asked mu boyfriend, did u move the toilet paper? No, I didn't. Then I knew it must be my landlord's son moved it. However I live with my boyfriend, he disorganize stuff, and it drive me crazy! He put the plastic bag which food in on the floor. He put cloth everywhere. Every morning, he just cannot find his damn hat! So he always asks where is this, where is that, where is everything. Oh, he gets a fantastic excuse: I have my own order in chaos. Are you kidding me?! I have to keep everything in order at least when I see it.

free writing

Yesterday my Landlord asked my boyfriend, "what's your religion?" he was stuck, he didn't know how to answer her. At the night, he told me about it, he said, "Magrita asked me a very sensitive question, religion. " I'm shocked, "how did you answer her? " "I believe nothing. " i said you should tell her you are an atheist." "she was so surprised, her mouth opened, 'how could you believe nothing! '" I think that's the reason we don't talk about this topic.
American people don't learn English grammar. Everyone knows, also most of English  teacher don't know it too, but people just take it. Like its not a big deal.
In LTC class I learn a new vocabulary, warm welco. I though about when Chinese and American greeting, how different they are. Chinese just shack hands, for female we mostly just nod, and say hi. American usually shake hands, hung, or kiss, and say hi, how are you, or what's up, also nice to meet you. So when a lot of Chinese students come to America they are very surprised about their greetings.

same-sex marriage

Most of people talk about marriage is one mother and one father. As "gay marriage "become legal a lot of protesters against the same -sex marriage. Some of them think same-sex marriage is not good to children and family. Children lack of father's love or mother's love in same-sex. In the childhood, both of parents' love are necessary to children. Whenever they lack which part their life will not be normal as it's supposed to be. But I totally disagree.

new session

It's a new session, my forth one, level 109. The good news is this time half of my classmates are not Chinese. I still have some old classmates from last session.
The funny thing is how people are capable to act so mean and friendly at the same time. My old Landlords are a couple of Chinese. At the first time I moved in their house they acted so friendly. But the room is very small and it is not look like the picture they sended me before. So I decided to move out. As soon as the wife knew I gonna move out, she started to treat me very badly. She did a lot of bad mean things behind my back. She threw my food without asking me just for make more room for hers in refrigerayor. I am so glade to move out.

the diversity

Time is changing, people always have different opinions about the diversity. Some people respe it, some are not. In the town I come from, people respect the diversity, even they aren't comfortable with it. The elder don't like the diversity very much. They get used to the old way people dress, talk, write, and do. They can't be used to the internet, cellphone, laptop, and other technologies. But they respect the changes, new invention can develop the world, they all understand that.

the money

“The happiness corresponds with money.” I disagree. Usually,  when people are asked “if you have 1 million, what would you do with it?” “definitely quit my job and travel the world.” But if ask them “will you be happy? ” then the silence come. Actually, a lot of people became rich, but they also became unhappy. They spend most of their time to promote their career. They forgot the most significant ones are family and friends. Please diversy your relationship of life.

do not hold the seat

If you in the subway or train, please do not put your bags or suitcases in the seat next to you. Some people do this just for others are not able to occupy the seat. That's not just rude, it's selfish! A subway and train is the public place everyone has the right to use it equally. Also, if you hold the another seat for nothing, maybe the kids, elders, pregnant women won't have a seat.

the prison system

I don't think there would be a decline in crime if all criminals were never released from prison. First, people will do bad or stupid things sometimes, I trust the system, they will have appreciate punishment. Also people could realize their mistakes and change. If the government hold the criminals forever not for their crime, that's wrong, it's not punishment anymore, that's domination. Consequently, the crimminals are not be locked in will do anything to reverse this situation. If I have a chance I would like to alter the prison system, make it more human. Criminals are human too, please give them another chance to start over.

Alaska

If someone offer me $200,000 a year to live no work I a small town in Alaska, I absolutely will take it. The high salary could compensate for the intense cold for couple of years. Im not afrade of cold, oppositely, I enjoy the winter very much. But I won't take the offer for a long time. But I want to travel to different places, not just stay one place for a life. I would like to change the job every 5 to 10 years, to finish travel the whole world. It's my dream.

the friendship

I like my friends have identical interests and opinions with me. Because when we have same habits we will have intense passion of same thing. The phase of our soul can be connected. We can have schemes together about weekends and holiday. That can facilitate our friendship totally.

the tattoo

In China, more and more people, specially the girls, get tattos. It became to a trend. Time changs, at old time, in China, girl will never be allowed to get a tattoo. A lot if people thought it's a very bad behavior, mostly for the girls is not appropriate. But today, people tattoo to show their inherent personality, also use some quotes to regulate themselves. For myself, I have two tattoos, and I plan to get a new one. They are symbols for my soul, personality, and life style. I am proud of them.

Panda

Everyone around the world think panda is the symbol of China. Because panda is so cute, their color are black and white, it's very unique. And they always look so dozing and cute.
Also they almost only eat bamboo. Actually, panda is not so friendly. They may get violent when they are not happ, and they bite! 😱That's the reason I don't like them.

Ping Pang Ball

Most of Chinese are capable of ping pang ball, and a lot of us doing well. Some people think is genetic, others think it's learned. Some reachers show sport skill is kind of in human's gene. It also can be trained. Whatever I had ping pang classes since I was 10, that was fun. I had a lot of teammates, and they were all boys. So they all take care of me though these 10 years. We are beyond brothers and sister.

swim, my love

Swim is one of my primary hobbits. Since I was a litte girl I always anticipated to be a professional swimmer. When I was 5 years old, my father detected I am talented of swimming. So he taught me how to swim. And he hired a personal trainer for me. He knew what I am capable to do. Then when I passed 12, he let an swimming coach to evaluate me to see may I become to be a professional swimmer. Then in almost next 10 years, my parents funded my swimming train. I became a professional swimmer.

my dear love

I had a lover when I was a teenager, we grew up together, we also share same birthday. He and I have a special bond. He is one of the most important person in my life. Our family are very close. He was older than me four years old. When I was a little girl I wasn't healthy like I am now, so my parents sent me to a boxing class. He was there too. We were partner. Even he broke one of my ankle by an accid, I forgave him whatever. We always forgave each others' faults. That became  history. He's in heaven now. God bless him.

the change

Before I came to America, I was an accountant, I had a very good annual salary. Maybe I can't say I did a lot of contributions for my company, I do love my job. But the longer I stay in this position, more crystal I found out  I need to make a significant change, not just a slightly modify. I need more professional knowledge and better skills of account. So I decided to come to America to get a master degree of MBA accounting. I dropped everything behind, here I am. Life is short, no regret, no excuse, no pologize. Go chase your dream!

Daddy

Almost the girls are close to mummy more than daddy, but I'm opposite. When I was a baby, my daddy was a teacher in a commuity college. So he has a plenty of time to spend with me. The norm of what we do everyday was sports. The scope is so wide, such as climbing mountains, going to parks, riding bikes, running, and swimming. Until I was 10 years old he changed his job, we couldn't get together as long as the old time. Whatever it trace to my childhood or now, daddy always is the most person I can rely on. I trust him all the time, and he never fail me. We are BFF!

I was an accountant before I came to America, I quit my job. To commit it, I enjoy to be an accountant, it's that kind of job a person must have a lot of integrity to do well. As an accountant  you cannot extract any money for your personal desires. That's the foundation of acounting. The most important aspect is you know how to save money for your company. Whatever in the tax way or something else. You can say the whole company rely on accountants.

In the morning, when I arrived school, my friend asked me, why you always look so happy, do you even have a sad moment or a bad day? I said yes, of course, everyone has the bad time sometimes, even god will be bothered I think, but you need to be cheerful by yourself, especially when you are alone in other country. 'I hate Monday!' she said, I laugh, then I told her, I love Monday, it's a new beginning of a whole week, right? You need to cheer up to prepare for next 4 days. Actually, I just love everyday, life full of amazing wonderful stuff, yes, sometimes shit happenes, but life still beautiful, as long as you know how to love yourself.

The long weekend

Last weekend was four days, at first I planned a lot about it. Such as go to empire state of building, go to see the fireworks, ect. But things change so fast than plan. In Friday, Hongyu and I took the bus and train went Manhattan, we took off at 5th Avenue, the we walked to Central Park. We saw the two lakes, it's really beautiful and peacefully, many local people have been lying on the grass to enjoy the sunshine. Asian have delicate skin we cannot stay in sunshine for a long time, it will burn us. Then we went to Times Square, it's really crowd, but it's still amazing. There are a lot of skyscrapers, big screens. We even saw a advertisement of Chinese wine. Unbelievable!

Chapter 18

Since I was a little girl, I always good at imitate another people. Such as my parents, friends, the movie stars, even the stranger I just met on the street. The imitation is a very funny entertainment. You can pleasure yourself and the others, like they said, "if you are happy, please share it. " My favorite is imitate the Donald Duck. I like his voice very much and his tone is extrordinary fantastic.

The healthy life

There's no formula for a healthy life, you cannot define a healthy life,  if you want be healthy, you need to do exercise, diet, sleep early, wake up early, and little salt and oil. All of these I mentioned will keep you healthy. Then do whatever you want exclude the bad ones. If you like other people's you can imitate them to help yourself.

The migrant

There are a lot of people who migrate, but I prefer to immigrate. The peaceful like always be attractive to me. Since I was a little girl, I always had a dream about move to a lack, settle down in a peaceful original cabin, have couples of dogs. I do not like near the fierce violent people, or joint into some club, that kinds of stuff always turn to bad outcomes to me. I just want enjoy the little track behind my cabin.

chapter 17

Rhinoceros looks pretty fierce, they have the sharp horns, thick skin, they are really huge, like 3000 kilogram, and big feet. Actually, if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. Do not near the baby rhinoceros, there are baby rhinoceros, then there will be mumu rhinoceros. They just like bears. But they are peaceful animal, they will not attack you.

No man is an island, entire of itself.

We all have to live our life even we do not know there's an another life. We have to make friends, to communicate with other people. We are never alone, whatever you want or not. And sometimes you even have not notice, you already connect with others. When you think you are alone you read someone's blog, you read a novel, you are communicate with the owner's mind, their soul. In your entire life you have to deal with all kinds of people, interesting, boring, weird, ect. It's how the life works, that's what makes it amazing.

What would you give up just for stay young and beautiful forever?

I read <The Picture of Dorian Gray> more than 10 years ago, last week I read it again, it's a really good novel, it pleased me. After read, I have to think about what would human give up to stay young and beautiful? Would we sell our soul? Would you kill persons to protect your secret? Would you do anything for Satan?
I don't know my answer, because life change, we will never know what will happen?

last weekend

Last night I watched "friends " on my computer, Ross proposed to Richel, it's beautiful, even he just said "let's get married, ok? " Actually it's slightly kind of drama, but it's a classic one. They know each other for a long time, after years, they met again consequentially,  then they fell in love, one day they just decided to get married.

chapter 16

Yesterday was the gay pride parade, thousands of people came from all over the world just to join it. America became the 21th country which gay marriage is legal, that's an amazing thing, but there still have a lot people who oppose it, even it aren't associated with them. I think that's a good thing to develop freedom. Just like they said "love wins"!

Yesterday

Yesterday I hanged out with my new friends, Alive, and his sister Gizem, Shihong. We met at Starbucks in stop -shop, then we wanted to graped a bear, but when we went to the night club, the security guy stopped us and required our ID, in China we don't need ID to drink so, I felt like "ok, that's funny, alright, but I didn't took my student ID with me, same as Gizem. So we left. Ali laugh he said, "that's funny, actually I went this club like thousand times, but he never asked for my ID, never.
I like this kind of little things, they just come out from nowhere, by coincidence, I just love it, they make me happy.

The Monocycle

When I was twelve, I saw there was a guy who can ride monocycle very well, then I thought, that's what I want to do, I want as good as him. So I went to website to buy myself one, and I planed to learn by myself. I just want to rejoice my life when I'm young.
When I rode it first time, I was so excited, my legs were temple. I like reading psychology books so I know if I want to learn how to ride, I need to calm down ,so I told myself, "dear, calm down, it's ok, you can do this. "The road is so coarse so I fell down a lot of times. But the experience is still amazing. After 3 weeks I finally learned how to ride monocycle just by myself. And I'm really proud of it.

The Ripper

John was a hitman, a cold blood killer, but he retired 5 years ago, he got married with a pretty woman, brought a beautiful big house, sadly 1 week ago, his wife have passed away because of cancer. But today, he just got an package from his wife, when he opened his hands templed, he can't even hold anything, he saw a poppy, his wife also had a massage for him, "dear John, I love you so much and I still do, I'm so sorry I can't be here with you forever, let it be you company to replace of me, to love you. To help you rejoice your life again. " He cherish it very much, he call it JJ.
This Saturday, he went to shopping, when he left he saw couple of young men was standing by his old classic car, they wanted to buy it, but he refused. But at night they came to his home to steal it. They are Russian gang. They beat him and killed his. dog because it tried to stop them. John passed out when he waked up saw JJ was dead, he was so sad tears fell his coarse beard, all he want is revenge. After he made couple of call to confirm where is their gang nest then he open a really old box which been covered by dust, he took his big cool guns out. He drove to a valley, and he just sneaked into the big farm, killed them all. When he left he has light smile on his face, he went to a pet store he stealed a little poppy, and he hold it said "come on JJ, let's go home."

Tolerance

Abou sexual orientation, there have a lot of options, like be homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual, but all of these depends on your natural, your family, your education, and all the other suition.
I have a lots friends who are gay and lesbian, I even found a QQ group is called bisexual, there have more than 50 people all around China.
I think today more and more people accept the sexual orientation, that means the world become more and more tolerated, we have freedom, we're free to be ourselves, and there should have no judge.

What happened in these three days

I just arrived to America at 21 in the morning, actually before I came I was not feel excited really. But when I just get off from the airplane, I know something are different, there's all the different kinds of people everywhere, from now I become to be the foreigner. I need to speak totally different language everyday, there will have a lot of problem in here,  about studying,  shopping, but there also will have many exciting thing, such like I can meet a lot of totally different people everyday, because it's a new place is fulled of strange people.
I feel like I have lots of knowledge to catch up. The vocabulary, the grammar.
I think I will learn, see, feel a lot of amazing stuff at here.
Next week I will start to work out, and swim, I already ran since yesterday.
